To support innovative nuclear engineering projects, the part-time Senior Nuclear Engineer will conduct research on materials for nuclear reactors, manage technical requirements, and collaborate with industry partners to ensure safety and compliance in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Conduct research on new materials and studies related to radiation detection and control Manage programmatic and technical requirements for planning documents and engineering-scale facilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and develop radiation safety protocols Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 20 years of experience in nuclear engineering Familiarity with various nuclear codes and standards as well as common nuclear engineering software Ability to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE-Q) clearance
